MyLife Project

The My Life project was really fun. I used Garage Band, iMovie, Youtube, iTunes, iPhoto, and Photobooth. It was enjoyable to look at old pictures from my childhood. Me, my sister Bridget, and my brother Dom, made a video of us going on a rollercoaster. It was a lot of fun. We had a blast. I also recorded myself talking about my childhood pictures in Garage Band. Then I took information about 1995 (the year I was born) and I put it in PowerPoint. I then made the slides into pictures and put them into my iMovie. It was a lot of fun.

Music Genome Project

Last week in Technology and Applications class, we worked on a Music Genome Project. What we did was we researched a music topic, and then made an iMovie on the topic. The topic I had was Arena Music. For it, I used the Space Jam Theme Song, a mix of popular songs from the 80’s, Waka Waka by Shakira, Waving Flag by K’Naan, She Thinks My Tractor’s Sexy by Kenny Chesney, Back In Black by AC/DC, and Lean Like A Cholo by Down. I also used videos of Shakira and K’Naan’s songs, basketball and football highlight reels, a compilation of NASCAR crashes. I thought that the project was fun, and I enjoyed it.

Dodgeball Assignment

I thought the assignment on an activity/class/club was very fun. We first used Microsoft Power Point to make an outline of the movie. We Google Searched for pictures of dodge ball. We then looked up inspirational quotes from dodge ball experts and other sports experts (i.e. Vince Lombardi, Patches O’Houlihan, etc..). We then shot footage of Paul and Zaire’s dodge ball team playing dodge ball. We then interviewed Mr. Donnelly and he gave us some very good input on dodge ball. Then made an iMovie, and we then used Get Back by Ludacris as the background music. I think that we all worked together fine, and we all had a fun time.

Movie podcast

Today in intro to tech and apps class we made podcasts about movies we liked. I did mine on the Hangover. We used GarageBand to record a podcast. I then google imaged the Hangover and I found pictures to use in the podcast. I then looked up sound clips from the movie online, and I chose a song from the movie that one of the main characters sings. I think that the Hangover is one of the funniest movies I’ve ever seen. It is hilarious. I think anyone of an appropriate age should see the movie. It is very good.

Storyboard Post

Today in Intro to Tech and Apps class, we had to write a storyboard for a project we had that involved dodgeball. In the group I was in (Alexis Hurst, Paul Roder, Zaire Doss, and Jonathan Tiessen) we chose dodgeball, and we looked up pictures that involved the sport, looked up appropriate songs for the topic, and we looked up inspiring quotes about the topic. We then designed a PowerPoint that outlined the topic. We picked a background, put a song in the background as well (lose yourself by Eminem) and we presented it to the class, it was fun.

Iphoto Project Post

Today in Intro to Tech and Apps class, we did something very fun. We looked up different pictures of letters that made up our names. The letters were supposed to be in nature. We also looked up pictures that described our activities or what we liked to do. I did both my first and last names, and I got pictures of rugby, football, Brian Urlacher, Walter Payton, Call of Duty, and the United States. We then put the pictures in iPhoto, and made a slideshow and put music in the background. The song I used was The Devil Went Down To Georgia by the Charlie Daniels Band.

Mail Merge Blog

Today in Intro to Technology and Applications class we wrote letters about a charity we made up. We made up ten different addresses as well as ten different names in Microsoft Excel. We then used the Mail Merge tool in order to make it easy to address the letter to all of the people (instead of plugging the names in ten times). I thought that it was very fun, and it will help me for resumes and other similar things. The charity I made up was the Save A Soldier charity. It was a auction that raised money to help the troops deployed in the Middle East.
